MY QUEST FOR BETTER NAUTH MANAGEMENT NOT POLITICAL;_Anunuebe Nnewi Speaks out.
A good governance and rights advocate Comrade Amobi Okonkwo(Anunuebe Nnewi) has called on the general public to disregard political attachment placed on his recent statements on the management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi.
He stated this while addressing some investigative journalists at Nnewi in the early hours of Wednesday 20th January 2021. He said that his statement made against the Chairman Medical Advisory Council of the Hospital Dr. Joseph Ugboaja was based on the information provided by the family of the Late Dr. Martins Ifeanyichukwu.
He said that further investigations carried out showed that the hospital management did their best to save the late staff of the medical college.
Answering questions from the journalists,Comr. Okonkwo in his words said ‘’ My comment on the CMAC is not political, I didn’t mean to attack his political or administrative ambitions in the hospital, I spoke based on the information made to the public.
Dr. Ugboaja is my very good friend and I respect him a lot. I know he means well for the hospital and has done a lot to improve services at the hospital. I also carried out further investigations and saw the efforts made by the hospital management to save the late Dr. Ifeanyichukwu. As of today, the family of the deceased have asked me to leave the issues surrounding the death of their father so they can focus on the mourning. They said the hospital management has sent their reports and it is well.
Recall that Comr. Amobi Okonkwo earlier released a note blaming the Hospital CMAC for the death of Dr. Ifeanyichukwu citing negligence of duty. This was responded to by the Hospital management.
Anunuebe Nnewi further spoke to the public to disregard any information made against Dr. Joseph Ugboaja as the hospital management is poised towards best service delivery to the populace. He advised that people should go about their various businesses and eschew their grievances.
He prayed God to receive the soul of Late Dr. Martins into his bosom. He also prayed for the family.
